Title: Pachira Rating: G Word Count: 102 Pairing: Lark/ Rosethorn Fight: 2/B Summary: Braided shoots may be a ridiculous form for a plant, but not for Rosethorn.
The pachira plant is a unique little plant that is typically made up of several shoots braided together. Rosethorn had typically thought it was unnatural for a plant to be braided up with other plants. She had thought that she often operated the same way. Sure, from time to time, she shared soil with another person, maybe even touching roots with those around her. Then she met Lark, and things changed for her. Suddenly, she understood the strength that could come from braiding oneself with another. It might still be a ridiculous shape for a plant, but it wasn’t really for her.

Hah - great thoughts on a strange plant, and concluding that the plant was still strange but that she wasn't. It reminds me of Lark's lesson to Sandry that spinning the thread 'with its friends' made it stronger - very much like braided plant shoots! Glad Rosie realised it.
