Summary: Most girls would be glad to have a friendly boyfriend. Set in Verasque’s Dogs on Ice AU, after Solution.
“I met your boyfriend today.” Mattes plopped down beside her on the bench.
Clary carefully kept her face blank. “Did you?”
“He’s nice. He’s going to come to the game with me and my mates on Saturday.” He looked at her out of the corner of his eye. “I think you might need a new boyfriend though, he’s not very good as a hitman.”
“I don’t need a new boyfriend, and I have no idea what you’re on about.”
“Come on, we both know that was your attempt at revenge for what I did last week. You’ll have to come up with something better. And just so you know, if you ever change your mind on the boyfriend thing, I’d be happy to help you out.”
Clary just rolled her eyes. “I bet you would.”
