Title: Quixotic Series: Opening Lines Rating: G Word Count: 120 Pairing: Maura/Kel Fight: 3/B Summary: years later, it reads almost like an idyllic fairy tale. (from the opening line of “Don Quixote”) Somewhere in Tortall, in a place whose name I do not care to remember, a lady lived not ago, one of those who has a lance and ancient shield on a shelf and keeps a skinny nag and a greyhound for racing. She was full of stories – tales about centaurs and necromancers and, and many surround a woman who lived with wolves and ogres. Her hazel would stare of into the distance as she shared her memories – memories far too fanciful to be true – and a small smile would cross her weathered lips when she talked of the wolf-girl, Maura, a woman of such cleverness and empathy that she was clearly a concoction of dreams and wishes, rather than reality.

All kinds of wonderful <3 My favourite: the wolf-girl, Maura, a woman of such cleverness and empathy that she was clearly a concoction of dreams and wishes, rather than reality.
