Title: Floating in Empty Space

Summary: Jon has grown too accustomed.

Thayet is beside him, returned from training camp with the Rider groups, and yet Jon doesn’t care. She’s just there, just as she’s always been, but even his fondness for her seems to have been drained through a sieve.
Her body isn’t warm enough, is too delicate. He misses feeling ropes of muscles, misses swinging short hair and strong, smooth legs. He misses Kel.
Jon strongly considers going to sleep the rest of the night on the daybed in his study, if only to escape a body that feels false lying next to him.
He stays, because it is far too late to wander from room to room, but he tosses and turns, unable to sleep.
