Title: According to Plan
Rating: PG
Word Count: 326
Pairing: Regicide (Delia/Josiane)
Round/Fight: 1/H
Summary: Delia likes planning and she likes to have it all her way.
None of this was going as Delia had planned, and she did not like it.
She knew that the only way had been to use the Lord of Trebond, but when Roger’s eyes had opened and he had pulled Thom close, Delia had felt a surge of hatred. A hiss escaped her throat—damn Trebond and all its blood.
Alex had simply smiled and patted Josiane’s arm as the pathetic blonde princess simpered and clapped her hands delightedly.
Did she know how utterly brainless she appeared?
Delia couldn’t touch Lord Thom, not when he and Roger were busy playing games of cat-and-mouse, tying each other around their fingers and knotting themselves up.
Alex had removed himself from her grasp years ago, coolly prying her fingers from his tunic and kicking her to the side. She had no great desire to experience such a defeat, though the thought of him kneeling and kissing her slippers—oh, what a thought, and she shivered.
No, they were untouchable…but Josiane…
Honestly, the girl was a naïve idiot, and she would never have been noticed by anyone, let alone Jonathan, had it not been for Delia.
Delia had taken her limp hand and steered her through Court, had tricked and begged and pleaded prettily with big green eyes until Josiane was the most popular dance partner—aside from Delia herself. Delia had advised the foreign Princess, had introduced her to the Queen, even.
Josiane smiled vapidly and giggled airily at Jonathan’s compliments, and Delia had watched from behind her fan, hiding her smirk with lace.
And then the airheaded bimbo of a princess had gone and lost Jonathan’s favor for no reason at all.
Josiane had stolen Jonathan, had stolen Delia’s dreams of revenge, and had stolen her place at Alex’s side that night that Roger awoke.
Delia had made Josiane into everything she was, and Josiane had taken it all; Delia was not about to let her take Roger, too.
