Title: Truth Rating: PG Word Count: 94 Summary: The ugly truth comes out.
The Bazhir’s hard, black eyes bore into the Northern King’s as he spoke bitingly, “You say that Tribe and the Northern men are the same, and you are correct that we both bleed for you, but you are wrong; your mothers will not let their daughters contaminate themselves with sand scut, and your merchants trust us less than the meanest Tortallan thief, so though you claim you’ve ushered in the new era of peace, I tell you now, Northern King, that though we may not war against the Voice, you will not live forever.”

Exactly! It's what I never liked about the neatness of the Bazhir solution. This is really brilliant, Nat!

I agree. A very true representation of how old prejudices will live on even after the resolution. Well done!

*grabs Kel and Zahir and smooshes them together*
Yeah, ok, that totally wouldn't solve the problem either. Someone should probably call the healer, I think Zahir's still bleeding.
This is so true. The hairpin turn in Tortallan culture never made any real sense.
