Board Update
by Ubiquitous
It’s been a jam-packed few months here on the board, and we've now reached over 81,000 posts in 8,000 threads on the board, which is absolutely phenomenal.
Tortall was the place to be, with a wide range of discussion from the discussion of characters' Turning Points to our Favorite Deities. There was a lot of discussion on alternatives, with threads like Kel’s Alternatives, If Peachblossom was Shang, Options for Ladies and Other Options for Aly. Threads such as Tyra and Tammy's 'Perfect' Heroines provided for deep and heated discussion on the workings of the Tortall-verse. The Peculiar Pairings Ficathon saw threads such as Weird and Wonderful Pairings 2.o abuzz. Talk also centred on the not so pleasant, with threads such as Treason, Worst Chamber Vision and Who Would Make The Best Villain?. The informal events, Wyldon Winter and Reclaiming Dom Week resulted in many threads, including Wyldon as the Conservative Voice, The Lord of Cavall and Dom's Future.
Emelan was also busy the last few months, with discussions ranging from our head-canon in Personal Canon - Emelan Style to things such as The Acalons. There was plenty of character-based discussion as well, with threads like Tris' Options and Daja's Family. There was also plenty of hypothesising with threads such as What would you use for Mediation, If you had Living Metal and Who would you want to save you?
Provost's Dog was filled with interesting discussion, with threads such as Dogs and the Army and Minor Character Details. Threads such as Puppies looked back on our favourite Dogs and what they may have been like as puppies before they became as awesome as they are, while threads like Gershom and Teodorie examined the relationships we see in canon.
Up and Coming was filled with exciting discussion on the upcoming Tris book in threads such as Niko and Tris go to Lightsbridge.
Writer's Corner was a hive of activity too, with threads ranging from World-Building to Crossovers to Losing Momentum. Progression as a writer was also an important point of discussion with threads such as Embarrassing Beginnings, Influences, Writing Classes - Helpful or Restraining?.
