Title: It Rating: G Prompt: number two, "haunting" Summary: Sometimes, what we do best, is what we fear the most.
It did not like breaking the knights-to-be.
But that had always been its job. As far back as it could remember, which was a long time, that was its job. To break those it did not deem fit to be a knight of the realm – those who had bad character, who would never live up to their responsibility, who had done something terrible and had yet to reveal his or her secret. No one had explained to it that that was its job – things had just always been that way.
Nonetheless, the Chamber fears the day it will be broken.

Hmm, the Chamber of the Ordeal tells its story. Wow. That's a cool take on the prompt!
