Title: Sharing Rating: PG Length: 126 words Competitor: Buri Round/Fight: 2/D Summary: Reunions bring about the best suggestions. (yay! I was able to write one before leaving!)
I haven’t seen her in almost a year – since the war ended. Border patrols, natural disasters, refusals to attend midwinter balls… everything imaginable has kept us from each other.
It’s been even longer since we had any sort of physical relationship. It wasn’t some epic romance, mind you. Just a quick kiss or two, when I was feeling incredibly low and lonely. She was, too. But then she found Raoul.
The hug is brief, and she pulls away looking at me with mischief in her dark eyes. “Is this finally the chance to pick up where we left off?”
“Word is you’re taken now,” I reply with a laugh.
She shrugs. “Mine shares.”
I thought of my own lover, possessive and conservative. “Ah, but mine doesn’t.”

Thanks! (this one was rather autobiographical, I'll confess.)
