Title: Beauty Rating: PG Length: 187 words Competitor: Sabine of Macayhill Round/Fight: 1/G Summary: Kel really can't begrudge Neal. Sequel to Lovely.
- - -
Kel glared at the image in front of her. How could Neal fall in love with a painting in a book, of all things? And with a lady knight, no less. Trying to keep from crying, she focused on the painting, trying to find some fault in the woman in front of her.
Sabine’s brown hair flowed prettily in the air as she sat astride her horse. Her tall body was lithe and muscular, holding her chainmail and sword easily. Kel looked into her wide brown eyes, and saw warmth and kindness within them. There was nothing there for her to fault, and reading the caption below told Kel that the Lady Knight Sabine was probably just as beautiful inside as she was on the outside.
Kel became so engrossed in the book that she almost didn’t hear the bell ring. The room around her was empty, and her candle was almost burnt. Closing the book, she smiled softly, her anger and sadness gone. She really couldn’t begrudge Neal for falling in love with the lady knight, not when she had fallen in love with her herself.

This is so sweet, and it's the perfect sequel to Lovely! I love how Kel's trying to find fault with her, and that's she ends up falling in love, it's so cute.

This is lovely! How Kel goes from almost anger at this other Lady Knight to falling herself--this is so good!
