Title: Magnetism Rating: PG Length: 134 words Competitor: Wyldon Round/Fight: 1/A Summary: Magnetism is stronger than chemistry.
They were close to each other, their bodies inches apart and quivering with anticipation. She leaned toward him, her intention to finally have the kiss she’d desired and fought for so many months.
He leaned, his hands clenching at his side and his eyes fluttering closed. Kel held her breath, her heart thudding painfully in her chest.
But then he turned away from her.
She realized why, and felt disgusted with herself yet again. Finding him attractive and desirable because of his stoic nature and his impressive work ethic was narcissistic, and she imagined that he was even more aware of the fact than she was.
They were like two magnets, but instead of being drawn to her, he shared her polarity. Every time they came close to touching, they bounced even further apart.

Oh, Kel, I share your frustration. That looked so promising!
Great piece of writing, though ;D Very thought-provoking.
