Title: Children Rating: PG Length: 166 words Competitor: Wyldon Round/Fight: A/1 Summary: Wyldon doesn't want more children.
- - -
After Margarry, Wyldon decided he had no desire for more children. Vivenne was happy enough with her four, and he felt no need for a son.
When he married Keladry, he thought that, as a lady knight, she wouldn't want children slowing her down. The thought relieved him, because he had decided he was far too old for little ones.
Then came the day when Keladry told him she was ready to have children. She proved his assumptions wrong again, and this time, he wasn't sure what to think. He refused her, telling her he was far too old for such things. Keladry didn't speak of it again, but he had caught the flash of pain in her eyes before she smoothed her features, and the knowledge of her pain ate at his heart.
Finally, he gave her the children she wanted, and, seeing the happiness on his wife's face as his fifth daughter came into the world, he knew he had made the right decision.

Another girl. Of course it would be! Wyldon likes to keep his Y chromosones to himself I guess. Nicely written.
