Title: Touch Me Rating: PG-13 Length: 130 words Competitor: Baird Round/Fight: 1/D Summary: He ignites something within her.
I associate his touch with coolness – the feel of smooth magic sliding through my skin and into my bones, re-setting things that are out of place, making inflammation subside. It shocks me feel fire instead.
He ignites something within me, like some sort of fire that will consume me if I’m not careful. He not only knows how to start this fire, but he keeps fueling it with every caress. His lips and hands, his tongue and fingers seem to know every move that will make me shudder.
But his touch isn’t for me alone; as much as it hurts to accept (to accept what I’ve done), I have to face the notion that this is a fleeting feeling. And I don’t know what I’ll do when it is absent.

I think I have been converted to Baird-love just because you used The Who in your titles. This makes me sad. Very touching fic, though. Lovely snippet, and lovely use of the first person.

Hahahaha!! I wondered if you'd be the one to notice the lyrics. (this is one I thought up during the Super Bowl, I admit...) Thanks for reading & commenting - esp. on the first person. I'm never comfortable with Kel in first person, but had to give it a shot!

I agree with Jess, I think the first person voice works here. (Also, are you and I sharing a brain? Or is it just the day for first person and Neal!reaction fics? )

(I think we're sharing a brain! I had been thinking of the POV shift already when I read yours. LOL!)
Thanks!
