Title: Things in a War Zone Rating: PG Length: 103 words Competitor: Owen Round/Fight: Final Summary: Margarry confronts Kel.
“Is it over between you two?” Margarry asks, her voice cold.
“He ended it.”
“So you love him?”
Kel stops for a moment to reflect before answering. “I think so.”
“You slept with a married man you think you love?”
“I slept with a man who I love very much, but not always in a romantic capacity.”
“I don’t understand.” Margarry shakes her head. “I don’t know if I want to.”
“I still love your father more than I’ve ever loved anything,” Kel answers slowly. “And what I feel for Owen pales in comparison. But I needed him.”
“So did I.”
“I’m sorry.”

Oh, Kel, honest to a fault. I don't think there's anything she could say that would make it less awful for Margarry, but that won't stop her from the telling the truth. *loves*

Exactly what Nicki said! The title is fascinating, and so is this take on Margarry - I love Kel, but I can sympathize with Margarry, who's a victim in this.
