Title: Just Killed A Man Rating: PG Length: 188 Competitor: Raoul Round/Fight: Final! Summary:
-
Sometimes, Raoul would wake to hear Kel weeping in the adjoining room, and he would carefully get to his feet, tucking a shirt into his breeches as he padded to the door. She’d be sitting up in bed, back to him and facing the wall, face buried in her hands as her shoulders shook with the force of her tears.
Sometimes, Raoul would go to her, sitting on the edge of the bed next to her and letting her cry into his shoulder. Sometimes he asked what was troubling her, and sometimes he just sat in silence, holding her until the aftershock of whatever nightmares she’d had were gone.
After the first few times, Raoul started connecting the dots, and he realised that all the time she’d been crying, she’d been mourning the loss of a person whose life she’d taken. “He had a family somewhere,” she whispers one night, when her nose is stuffed and her eyes are red and puffy. “I took him away from his family forever.”
That she can reflect on this and hate it is one thing that makes him love her more.

Oh.My.Goodness. It is so like her to mourn over someone she killed; she always thinks of the enemy dead. Definately a quality Raoul would love about her Beautifully written!

Thank you!! I think it most certainly would be something he'd admire in Kel! It's certainly something I admire...
