Title: Hidden for a Reason
Rating: G
Card: 3
Bingo: Manners + Angry Mage + Party + Wild Card + Dark Secrets
Summary: Tris stood up suddenly, nostrils flared. Time to have a talk with Niko.
Tris growled menacingly. She already spent a couple hours already in these pinching shoes keeping her cool and being courteous. Now she had enough.
She sincerely felt bad for walking out on Sandry's party, but those two and a half hours were more than enough to break Tris' temper and good manners.
Tris snuck out of the party just as the slow dance was starting, and slipped into the grand library. She breathed in the musky smell of old, unappreciated books.
Tris eyed the room in the back, where the forbidden books were. Tris could feel her curiousity growing, she had never been in there for fear of being punished. Now that she is a fully credited mage, who could stop her?
Tris broke the spells easily, walking in. She reveled in the amazing feel of the books and doing something not allowed.
She fingered the spines of the books in the last bookshelf. One book caught her eye. It wasn't especially adorned like the others were.
She pulled it out, and it let out a puff of smoke, Tris went into a fit of coughing.
She glared at the book, grumbling in her head: You better be worth it.
Tris sat on the ground, not minding her dress.
She opened the book up, gobbling up the words. Her eyes widened the more she read. It wasn't a huge book, but it held untold secrets.
Tris stood up suddenly, nostrils flared. Time to have a talk with Niko.
