Title: Not Without a Fight Rating: PG Word Count: 118 Summary: He will fight to save Barzun, even though he knows they are doomed. Notes: Watch there be a week were we're actually supposed to write poetry and me not have any ideas Also the formatting is so strange because it doesn't want me to indent Ride in to battle hold your head high Under you your horse rears, thick mane and powerful muscle. He is fierce but you are fiercer Raise the bow and aim, straight and true. Sword at your hip, you will fight to defend country, family – the pride of your ancestors You will fight, but you can see: flesh burning people screaming ruin and decay pale soldiers tall general thick paper official seals hot red wax thick dark ink a lot like blood marring the sand in the dark night the sound of keening the end of this land Gallop now, you raise your sword, see the fear in those Northerner’s eyes because no Bazhir goes down without a fight

I love your poetry, woman. You packed so much power and movement into it, that it really conveys the sense of a folk-ballad about the defense of Barzun.
