Hello there, I'm torikkusuta from over on the pit, I also answer to tori or Rin. I've been a fan of the Tortall novels for (attempts to do the math) six years now? But I really only got into the fandom about a year or two ago. Uhm, what else. Well, I'll probably be more a lurker than anything. I'm terminally shy, even on teh interwebs, and in any case, the only TP book I have on hand is Lady Knight.
I've been living in France for the past year, but am an American. My syntax has gone a bit wonky, so if you notice anything off, it's probably due to speaking mangled French with my fellow exchange students. Erm, finishing up my third year at university, Foreign Language and International Studies major (it sounds impressive, but it's kinda useless....), have a blue belt in taekwondo, hoping to get to black belt before I leave my hometown for grad school, and am the proud owner? creator? of a TP OC by the name of Bridey, who features in the one fanfic I've written, a drabble series called Audacious. Other fandoms I play/lurk in include Avatar, Sherlock Holmes, Young Wizards, Rurouni Kenshin, and Doctor Who. Glad to meet all of you!

(FIRST!)
Hey Tori/Rin! I'm Ana, pleased to meet you!
You're an exchange student? Wow, that's great! I was an exchange student in Japan in high school and I plan to go again next year. ^^ I am also an International Studies major. How long are you planning to live in France, and where are you originally from?
Do you have a link to Audacious?

Thanks! It's nice to meet you too. Uhm, I've been living in France for about eight months, and have a month to go before I return to the US, I'm a Kentucky girl, born and bred. www.fanfiction.net/s/4647758/1/Audacious is my fanfic, and I have no idea if I'm linking that properly or not. I'm rather computer illiterate.

Welcome to Goldenlake Rin!
How do you like the exchange? I've been thinking of maybe going on one myself to France in a year or two if I can afford it with my own University. =)

Do you know what Ale81 is? I do indeed know what it is, but I have to admit to never having drunk it. Wild: France is pretty cool, but I found myself getting horribly homesick. It doesn't help that Saint Etienne is a dreary, industrial town. There's loads to do and see here, though. If you have the opportunity, go for it And thanks for all the welcomes! **feels loved**

Hullo, Rin! It's nice to see a fellow Kenshin fan around; in fact, there are a few anime/manga fans here.
I hope you have fun at Goldenlake!!
