Title: Fireflies Rating: PG Prompt: Just Before the Dawn, #69 Summary: For Tamari Alex/Aly.
"Tirragen," Aly said, watching his face in the moonlight. Her burnt-honey lashes arched to meet his long, slightly hooked nose. "I hope you know what this means." Eyes almost as dark as Gainel's himself but somehow human, bore down upon her. "Of course I do." His face never raised an inch; the bronze-gold buttons on his navy coat hung to rest on her burning stomach. She stole a glance at herself, their body heat almost vaporizing in her vision, red-gold hair falling about her eyes. The insubstantial cotton of her shirt stuck to her, creating an excruciating barrier between skin and air. Outside it was hot and sluggish, and she wanted to tell him to take off his suit jacket. "The fireflies will come out soon and everything will be cliché again." His voice was so deep, but it stopped before baritone. A faint burr snarled through his fine mouth. "Except it is cliché," she said, against her better judgement. "We're in a graveyard." His eyes grew soft. "The moon isn't full." He kissed her suddenly, carelessly; she put her arm around his neck but it wasn't pulsing enough. "I'll just have to wait then," she sighed through his lips, falling onto the grass with him on top of her. The first button of his shirt was left undone.

What what where did this come from I adore youThis is so creepy, almost, but also sweet? If that made sense? I wish I knew more about the background of this, but I love the little snippet. Thanks for writing this!

Nice! I loved the dialogue; they are both so cynical and yet it was still sweet.
