Title: For the Roses Rating: PG Prompt: #34 - trick Summary: There are two sides to every person, and more than one reason for their actions. Notes: So, um... I interpreted this in two different ways? - At the Dancing Dove, Rispah wears low-cut tops and hitches up her skirts; she pinks her cheeks and bites her lips to bring about a blood-red shade. At her aunt's she wears loose cotton and helps people with soft, soothing hands, pinning her hair up and speaking in low tones. Healing people doesn't pay when you can't turn anyone away, and she finds herself at the tavern night after night while George smolders in his spot next to the Rogue's throne, hiding knives behind his back and sharp daggers up his sleeve. "I'm going to take the seat for myself," he tells her one night, eyes dark and smoky, "and that way you won't have to turn tricks anymore." Rispah winks at him because with her wiles and his cunning, they'll be up there sooner rather than later, king and queen on a domain they've won for their very own.

I like the way you showed two sides of Rispah, I adore the last sentence.

Oh, there's not enough Rispah-fics out there, and you've written this awesomely! I like how much depth you gave her, and how George looked out for her so well. Also, I like your interpretation.

Brilliant tone coming through, Cass! I love how sassy-strong you made Rispah in a few short sentences.

I don't know what to say, except this is so very fantastic! I can totally see this being canon, your characterisation is perfect.
