Title: Prank'd
Rating: G
Character: Tobe
Event: Humour High Jump
Words: 252
Summary: Tobe and his friends welcome the opportunity to play a prank on their least favourite Haven resident.
Warning: Writing humour is not my strong point!
Tobe didn’t like Idrius Valestone. He hadn’t liked him since the day he turned up in the mess hall, acting like he owned the place and insulting his beloved mistress. None of his friends in the spear group liked him either, especially Gydo after the day he made Meech cry. All of them were waiting for a chance to get back at him. When they weren’t practicing, and when Tobe wasn’t busy with Lady Kel, he, Gydo and Loesia were busy plotting all the different pranks they could play on him. Their chance finally came on the day the Scanrans attacked and the tall mage opened up the ground to trap them, when Idrius was locked in the stocks. Looking at each other gleefully, the three of them crept quietly around the camp and put their plan into action. If any of the soldiers or other refugees saw them carrying the freshly dug mud and sticks over to the stocks, they did nothing except hide smiles behind their hands. Tobe, Gydo and Loesia did their work so quickly and quietly that Idrius didn’t notice, so busy he was with yelling at every passer-by. When they finished, they escaped back to headquarters, giggling all the way. They weren’t the only ones to have a laugh. Everyone who passed the stocks had a chuckle at the word “BALDY” written in big clear mud letters on Idrius’ back. Saefas in particular thought it was the perfect way to ease the tension left after the battle.
