Title: Addiction
Rating: PG 13
Card: 1
Bingo: Alcohol + Jonathan + Winter + Secrets + Friendship
Summary: Just one night, and Alex is hooked.
Alex searched Jon’s face, staring deep into his eyes, looking for something, anything, to make what had happened between them alright.
Prince Jonathan’s face was carefully blank, the only sign of emotion in the rhythmic clenching and unclenching of his jaw.
“Jon...” Alex reached out to touch his friends arm, mortified when Jon pulled away, his usually charming features contorted with disgust.
He dropped his hand back to his side and looked away, he wanted to run away, but couldn't move an inch. He never thought Jon would be like this, not after... Last night had been- he didn't even have words for it, he never knew he could feel that way about someone, especially about Jon, and besides, Jon had kissed him first! And now he's acting all high and mighty, like always...
Always looking down on us, his faithful little subjects. Alex couldn't keep the bitterness from leaking into his thoughts.
"Alex," Jon's voice was calm, Alex looked up, "What happened last night... Let's just forget it alright? It never happened." A slight smile played across Jon's lips, patronising and arrogant. "It never will."
It took all Alex's will not to hit him, to beat that smug smile of his face.
You won't be so pretty then, will you my Prince.
"Alex?"
Alex turned away. "It's fine Jon. I have to go."
"And last night?"
His head snapped up, and he glanced back at Jon, "It never happened."
"I'll see you later Alex."
"Sure Jon."
He fled the room, disgusted at Jon, at himself, and angry, so angry he couldn't see straight. But he had the taste of Conte on his tongue and once was enough. He was addicted.
So when he turned a corner and found himself staring up at Jon's tall cousin... He never had a chance.
