Title: Reciprocate Rating: G Prompt:Hauntings Words: 100 Summary: Thayet’s laugh exorcises Jon’s ghosts.
Jon gazed at his wife. She was still the loveliest vision he had ever seen—bright, warm and strong. Her bejeweled eyes and curved red mouth were the words of poets, but the Thayet he saw was the one who loved all their children equally, and even this country.
Her sudden laugh changed him. It was alright now. Alright to touch her without feeling haunted that his tainted hands and reckless youth would mar her. He owed it to this brave, beautiful Queen who had given back to him everything he had lost when his parents had died; a family.

I really like this! We seem to be experiencing a Jon/Thayet rennaissance in the fandom; I remember a time when mentioning her name would spark debates. So it's really great to revel in their sweetness with a fic like this!!

Ooh, interesting! I liked the dynamic that you gave them. I like the idea of Jon owing his wife something, rather than the other way around. Great work!

Glad you liked it, Lisa & Ana I usually don't write Jon/Thayet, but meh, I think its about time to branch out some. Plus, these two do have that something special.

Thank you Kirsty! (I hope I still remembered right) I agree abut J/T too. I think a lot of people aren't wholly comfortable writing about them because its only in the later series that we've gotten to know Thayet and her dynamic with Jon. Plus, we always have canon to satisfy us.
