Title: Kraken Rating: PG Prompt: 66--Minor to Major Summary: She has entrenched her feelers everywhere, and her prey comes to her doorstep.
The woman lazily drew back her curtain at the sound of hoofbeats and cart wheels. It was the Progress, as she knew it would be. The King’s newest plan to beggar his old flame. She smiled. He thought he’d beaten her, but really, he’d just overlooked her. She was sure, she’d seen his politics—he tried to please as many factions as possible, but he was too proud to ever appease his former enemies. He was, as always, a fool. Turning back to flirt idly with Lord Malven, she decided she was looking forward to seeing her nephew again. It would be nice to talk with him about his time with the Third Company and more importantly, his relationship with its Knight Commander.

I love how you've taken the mention of Delia-to-kraken comparisons and turned it into a solid metaphor. . This is great!

What an excellent characterisation of Delia. I love how she's still scheming and her observations of Jon. I feel bad for Lerant too!

Ooh. I love the idea of kraken!Delia, and the way she just waits... for everything to fall into her lap. Gorgeous.
