Summary: He can't reclaim his kingdom looking anything less than fabulous.
A/N: I recall that I promised Kat this pairing a (long) while ago but never delivered, so hopefully this will satsify you a little.
It had been a long time since Roger had shown himself at court. Too long.
With a fond smile, he looked down his nose at the young seamstress standing in front of him. The pins she was holding in her mouth drew his attention to her soft, pink lips; it had required a strong magical working to bring her here, but he needed the very best for his reappearance in Corus. It was no more than luck that the most talented seamstress he could locate happened to be such a pretty little thing.
"I need to measure your inseam now, my lord," she murmured, lashes delicate against her pale cheeks as she stepped away from his chest and knelt at his feet.
Roger smiled, and couldn't resist laying a gentle hand on the top of her head as she unrolled her tape measure once more. "Of course, Sandrilene," he said, admiring the way she blushed under his gaze. "For my audience with the king, I must be perfectly attired. I know that you won't disappoint me."
And, he knew, his lovely young seamstress would not disappoint the king.
All of the pieces were falling into place.
