Title: Apocalypse
Rating: PG-13
Words: 278
Prompt: Modern (#52)
Summary: Roger plots Alanna's doom. And his outfit.
Note: For Rosie, who requested a response to Prompt #52 that contained the word "awesome".
Roger picked up his Blackberry and scrolled through the new messages. Something from Alex about mesh hot pants, a picture message from Delia that was probably not safe to open, some drunk gibberish from Raoul and -- ah, a flirty death threat from Alanna. That’s what he was looking for.
Come meet me at the cemetery during Jonathan’s party tonight, he typed, and hit send.
He only had to wait a moment for a response. Is this some Twilight sh*t? was Alanna’s response.
Of course not. He typed, then paused, considering what else to say. He did not want to seem too eager, else she might not come and meet her doom. I’m just planning some murderous stuff, I thought you might like to come and stop me. Hopefully she would not be able to resist that. He pressed send.
His alert light flashed. Oh good, I thought you were going to dress up as a vampire again, came the reply. Where will I find you?
Roger grinned. Keep walking until you find the cool patterns written on the ground in chalk. Then you’ll know you’re in the right place. This was almost too easy.
K, cya then, was the final message from Alanna.
Roger straightened up, and headed to his huge walk-in-closet. It was stuffed with clothes; he browsed the racks, before finally selecting a pair of black Armani skinny jeans and a tight t-shirt with food pattern on it (the very height of current fashion). He swept his black hair back, and pouted in front of the mirror for a moment.
The apocalypse was coming, and Roger knew he had to look awesome for it.
