Summary: Everyone has their own dirty, little secret.
He will never admit it, but Ersken is quite fond of using his sisters’ looking-glass to admire at himself wearing his black uniform. There is something quite dashing and cunning, he thinks, to don the Dogs’ uniform. People give respect to those who wear the black tunic and breeches. They give him room to walk in the streets and do not jostle him. And no one ever gives him pigeon scummer for anything he does anymore. The girls even bat their eyelashes at him when he walks by, his head held proudly.
Now to get rid of the cursed Puppy-trim.
