Title: Musings on Colour

Summary: A series of different characters' views on colour. You'll have to guess
I
Her dress was too tight. She looked amazing, her perfume lingering behind her when she walked across the room. Her eyes were drawn to him immediately, looking splendid in his favourite colour. It suited him, and he knew it. When they were introduced, she sensed there was something alike about the two of them, although he would never admit it. Vanity is not a virtue, after all.
Later that night, away from the other guests, lords, and ladies, she found herself lost in his blue eyes, thinking it could be love.
II
He had watched his father work for years, since he was a young boy. Even now, it amazed him. Green: the colour of life.
III
She missed him. Only when her first child was born did she truly let herself cry, a mix of grief and overwhelming happiness, brought on by the sight of red hair.
IV
His friend was a bit like summer: blonde, tanned, and you missed it when it was gone.
V
The sight of blood on his face was unusual, and even looking at it in the mirror unsettled him. He washed his face, removing the blood, but still the bruises remained. It was an entire week before the mottled purple and yellow began to fade from his face.
At night, his dreams continued. But this time, it was his hands that were cut and stained with blood, and her face was nothing but a blood-red mess. The colour of revenge.
