Summary: !!!SPOILERS FOR TERRIER!!! Beka is welcomed by the Black God
Beka had known of the Black God’s omnipresence for as long as she could remember. He was there in the pigeons who begged her to help the spirits move on. He was there to welcome her mother when the consumption finally killed her mother. He had been there when her Lord had died to welcome him as well. Nothing, however, had prepared her for the day when she would meet him face to face. He was so much more beautiful and terrible than she imagined, a warming presence in this void of death. Walking to her, he welcomed her as an old friend, “My dear, you were a loyal servant in life. I’m sorry there was no one such as you to hasten your journey after your death, but you are here now. Welcome.”
