Title: Watching
Rating: PG
Prompt: #3, Addiction
Summary: She can't seem to stop.
A/N: One of my first attempts at writing fic, a/u pairing, highfives to anyone who can guess the pairing? I should hope that it's rather obvious, but I love writing mysterious unknown people with defining traits. Please concrit, if you wish!
...
She was watching him. It felt like they had been fighting for ages, even if it was only a few minutes. Still, she couldn’t help but see the way he fought- long stretching graceful lunges and quick parries, never retreating. The way the muscles in his legs contracted and lengthened, and his powerful arm muscles wielding the sword like it was light as a feather. The way he had moved with the sword as a perfect extension of his arm. Thrusting and parrying as he watched his opponent’s every move gracefully and perfectly; he reminded her of the Yamani. He reminded her of the game that she used to play- the swooping, elaborate movements and the gracefulness of the fan whirling in the air, opening and closing. She had tried to repress everything multiple times, and yet- it was no use. The image of him was trapped in her mind, hidden behind her silent face. Her eyes were trapped on his elegant, dark form. He had been in Corus for just under two weeks and she hadn’t missed a day of watching him practice. She couldn’t help hoping that he would pick her for his squire, even though she was sure that he didn’t know that she existed.
Still, she watched him. Every day, she watched him. She wasn’t sure if she was waiting for him to notice her, or waiting for him to leave so she might be able to stop thinking about him. Either way, she knew that she would be watching him until he left.
