Is this the moment where someone pops in and says be careful what you wish for?  It's lovely fic in any case  . ETA: I can enjoy this fic a lot more if I assume the following - the husband you're referring to is not George; or - George was *exerting* himself in Vania's bed for a completely innocent reason. --> perhaps he came in to find Vania not breathing, and was merely performing CPR to revive her? <-- |
