Title: Tactical Disguise
Rating: PG-13
Prompt: #15, Disguise
Summary: Clary and Mattes are in need of disguises, and Mattes can't believe his luck.
Clary grinned as her partner’s mouth fell open.
“I’m the luckiest Dog in Corus,” Mattes managed, and forced himself to look up at her face.
Clary raised an eyebrow. “Because we’re going on a hunt?”
“Well, I was going to say ‘Because I’m partnered with the best endowed Guardswoman in Corus’, but your answer is safer.”
The corner of Clary’s mouth was turned up in a part-smile. “You’re a looby, but you’ve proved my point. Are you ready?”
Mattes pulled the burnoose over his head to hide his face, and then stared at her. “Aren’t you doing anything to disguise your face?”
Clary shrugged. “I’m wearing face paints. Besides,” she tugged the bodice of her dress a little further down, “in this dress, nobody’s going to be looking at my face.”
