Summary: He simply asked that lingering question everyone wanted to know.
Note: Taken from my latest drabble series on FFN.
The words are out of his mouth before he can stop them.
Jonathan blames it on the fatigue of hard travelling and the fact that a week is hardly enough time for his mind to have completely wrapped itself around the idea that Alan is actually an Alanna and that he should be a little more tactful.
If the awkward silence is to go by, then “So did you look during all those times we went swimming?” is not the right question to ask one’s unofficial squire.
Especially if said squire is female and prone to being utterly ambiguous.
